Festivities: Happy Valentines Day

A short but sweet one today just to say I hope your day is filled with love.

Whether you and your partner go all out for Valentines Day, or if (like us) you prefer to keep it more low key – enjoy!

And if you don’t have a partner? That’s fine. There must be someone or something you love out there. Take time to appreciate them or it. Take your dog for an extra long walk, phone your best friend, say thank you to the person who keeps you sane in the office.

Oh and don’t forget to love yourself too – those cosmetic commercials aren’t wrong – you really are ‘worth it’.

Hubby and I have never been big on celebrating Valentines Day. We would rather save our pennies and put it towards something we really want to do (rather than something we’re being told we should do thanks to a date on the calendar). That said we always exchange cards and usually treat ourselves to a take away – tonight it’s Chinese, can’t wait!

Hubby did however ignore our rule of no gifts and came home last night with these…. He’s not a rebel very often, but when he is it’s always for the right reasons!

My husband's idea of not doing Valentines gifts. #NaughtyButNice
