Oh hello there!
To follow on the interior decor themed posts I thought I’d invite you into our kitchen…
Well come on in then…
To be honest we’ve not done a massive amount in here. The cupboards, work top, flooring, tiling and cooker are all the same as when we moved in – the advantage of new-build is obviously a brand new kitchen and sparkly new appliances. Yay! Colour-wise we’ve just refreshed the existing magnolia. It’s not the biggest room, so we figured bold colours wouldn’t work too well. Also, it links onto the lounge, so going with magnolia kept the consistency going.
When I say we didn’t opt for bright colours, I lied slightly. We came across these tea, coffee and sugar canisters just after we moved in and fell in love with their cheeky brightness. A brights and whites theme was soon decided on, hence, the red kettle.

I stick mementos to the fridge with cute magnets. It drives Hubby mad as he prefers the minimalist look. Oops!

More brights hiding amongst the washing-up!
In an ideal world we’d have somewhere better to store our recycling, but for the meantime a smiling Henry hoover bag will have to do!
Our place for meal planning/love notes/utter nonsense.
Blackboard – Ikea (no longer stocked).
Blinded by the white.
White blinds – local supplier.

Wallace and Gromit help us keep track of what we’re up to with this cute calendar.
The kitchen is probably our least interior designed room, but it’s functional, fun and I freaking love it.
